Long time no see!! Gosh,I almost forgot this blog...
It's not easy for me to make English blog. I was beeing soooooo lazy!
In Febrary and March I was pretty busy. I went to Toronto to see my hasband and his family, I was invited one of my friend's wedding party, I met other friend who lives far from Tokyo where I live...

Anyways I'd been knitting little by little and then I've done it finaly.
ta-da!!!!!

It was really fun to knit. I usually drew my eyebrows though...
I'm so happy to finish it. The fit of this sweater is perfect. I'll be able to wear it till summer.(^_^)v

As I finished mom's vest, I've been knitteng my sweater.

Actually I started three things at the same time, these two and my dad's vest. I've done both of back side. I like St st but knitting pattern is also fun! I made a mistake at the begging so I started all over twice or three times.

When I knit this sweater with an absent way, I always forget some pattern. I work weekday so I decided to knit my sweater only weekend. During weekday, I knit my dad's vest. It's plain vest so I do only St st, so I can knit with an absent way. It's no problem! Anyway my dad wants to wear the vest when he goes to play golf in Feb. I have to make it! I hope it's done till then...

Crochet Vest

I've finished a crochet vest for my mom.

I usually don't do crochet but I could finish it. Though it's much better than I thougt, I wanted to make more beautiful sticth if I could...
When I wear it, I look as if I wore extra clothes. Maybe because of the colour and the double knitting yarn. Should I have used thinner yarn...? I didn't use same yarn in a knitting book, which has pattern of this vest, but I used a yarn that is same length and weight. How difficult to guess completion from yarn!
I liked doing crochet, the thing is, I could finish faster than knit, and it was easy to count stitches. It was really fun.

boy! I couldn't have any new post in Dec...
I went to Toronto, Canada to see my husband and his family around christmas. It was not so cold but of course it was colder than in Tokyo. I stayed only 11 days then I left for Tokyo on 27th Dec. If I could stay in Toronto on 27th, I could have been to Romni Wool, which had boxing day sale on 27th... I heard that everything's 25% off!! oh, man! I was so sad! But actually I have lots of yarns so I have to knit something before I buy new yarns.
I've been knitting 3 things (a vest for my dad, a crochet vest for my mom, a sweater for me) at the same time. I'll try to show those on this blog.
Anyways, I hope that all of you are having a good time!

Oh, man!! I haven't had a new post for a month...
I started working so I don't have enough time. BUT writing English in this blog is for me. Remember Your Original Intention.
I got a job about a month ago. I input some data on PC. I keep watching screen all day, that's why I don't wanna touch PC in my room. Oops! I'm excusing now.

I usually input data all day but I had different task since yesterday. The task was making questionnaires. Though the questionnaires had already been made, I copied it 1500 sheets of paper and then folded to put in 500 envelopes... Those papers made my hands dry! and I cut everywhere on my hands... I'm glad I've finished the task!

I'd stepped away from this blog but I've still been knitting, of course!
I made cabled newsboy cap from stitch'n bitch nation. I used cheap yarns from 100en-shop (it's same as dollar shop). I didn't think they sold wool 100% yarns. I was surprised. The cap is really warm and cute. Here, in Japan, it's really warm (I mean, compare with in Toronto) so I can't use now though...

wow! I haven't had new post for a month. After I came back to Japan, I didn't do nothing... I sometimes play with my nieces, see my friends, read books and sleep a lot.... How lazy I am! Maybe I'm not good at assimilating myself to new surroundings. And "The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence". When I was in Toronto, I missed Japan but now I really miss Toronto.
I was so hungry for Japanese books I was reading a lots even in the bathroom. I haven't gotten new books, which I've ordered to a library so I started knitting again then the gloves were done.

I think.... I started it this August...I knitted other things so I almost forgot about it, and actually I made right hand of the gloves twice, because I dropped lots stitches and the fingers were too long for mine. I may have got bored to knit it... But anyways I've done! I little bit worried about the colour but now I really like it. The wrists are so long that it's really warm.

Winnie gave me a comment for last my post about this gloves (thanks!) , so I'll try to explain how to knit soon. My English is broken so don't expect so much!

I knitted a baby cardigan and "buddy" from knitty for my friend. I don't know well how to finish (I mean sewing seam and so on) so it doesn't look nice so much... I felt a little bit bad so that I add baby cloth from GAP and made "buddy". Buddy is so cute! I mistook leg parts and put arms in too low place though.
I'm really busy because I go back to Japan next week. Next post will be written in Japan...

I knitted so hard that I forgot to post this blog, but I finally made it!!
I'm really happy because I worried whether I could finish it so much.
It's finished much nicer than I thought. (you know, I'm a beginner knitter.)
It was really difficult for me. I always had to count number of stitches and pay attention to the book... but now I was just relieved and satisfied so I don't know what to say. Anyways I'm pretty happy, for sure!!

I gave up using the alpaca yarn... then I started all over again with new yarns. It's on my FOURTH attempt! I was thinking that it was beyond my skill but I've been knitting ene's with no mistakes so far. ...Finally!!

I changed only yarns so that I was really surprised. Actually I've used the alpaca yarn before and I didn't have no problems. Why?? St st is OK but lace is not OK? Oh, maybe I need more experience and knowledge about knitting... Anyways I've really enjoyed knitting it now. I'm doing on chart 2 (second times), I'll finish it soon...I hope.

I'm on Row 15 of ene's scarf. Finally I've conquered Row 11, which I always missed something on! I can't relieve until I finish chart 1 though. I wonder if it's difficult chart 2.

By the way, the book says that CO with knitted method so that I did with knitted cast-on from glossary pages. But it didn't look good... The CO looked like chain, or you know, like hole? I think it's totally different from the photo of the book. I tried cable cast-on this time then I think it looks much better. My CO looked strange because of alpaca yarn that I'm using? or the needles is too big??

I've been knitting so that I almost forgot about this blog!
I started ene's scarf. I chose alpaca 100% yarn then I did on 11th row. The alpaca yarn is really slippery. I must have droped some stitches... I knew about it but I continued...then I noticed that it's NOT beautiful at all!! So I unraveled it. I gave up it today so I'm going to knit the baby cardigan tonight.Oh! I have to knit gloves as well!

These are my and my husband's gloves. Of course I knitted them. When I knitted fingers of these gloves, I didn't think it was difficult but the herringbone gloves are difficult! Maybe because the yarn is thinner...?

It's raining today. It's been a while!
Probably trees must be happy, and I'm happy as well because I don't like summer so much.

I've been knitting herringbone gloves. It's really fun but the pattern was a little bit confusing so that I had to unravel. I've finished a thumb. Actually I finished left glove but I noticed some mistakes and fingers were too long for me. (my hands are small and fingers are short...) I'll make it again. Finally I memorized the pattern so it'll be finished at once.

Then I've started a baby cardigan, Lottie from ROWAN junior. the pattern is St st so it's good for a change when I tire to knit confusing herringbone pattern. This is first time for me to knit a cardigan with English knit book. I don't understand some explaination. I should read a book for begginers who knit sweater.

I usually knit only one thing but I'm thinking of starting ene's scarf next week. Knitting different stuff at the same time is so fun! How come I didn't do that?

I bought some yarns from Romni Wool. Somehow I chose vivid colour... But my winter coat is dark colour so it'll be no problem.

I bought the bright blue yarns for perfect pie shawl, but it was thicker than I thought... I tried knitting a bit, I found it wasn't soft enough for me. I haven't knitted with mohair yarn before so I don't know well about it but mohair is like that? I just confuse mohair and angora or something...? Anyways I've decided to change to another yarn. The shawl is pretty big so the colour may be too bright as well, I think.

The purple ball yarns are for ene's scarf. It's much thinner (240m/25g) than the yarn on the book. Though I want to make a little bit smaller size, it'll be too small? My knitting level is just a beginner... gosh, what should I do?

Another skein yarns are for gloves. I've already started knitting as it is...of course it started to get tangled. Then I knew that I have to make ball before knitting. I did it but it took for about 3 hours... But it's done!! I start knitting again!

I've unraveled the ribbed camisole that I'd been knitting again because it ended up large size... sigh
I'm completely bored this pattern (I knitted too much) so I'll try again some other time.

Anyways I got philder magazine and yarns! I ordered those from knit 'N' tyme last week.

The magzine is in French but it has English translation book so it'll be okay. There are so many beautiful knits in the magazene. I'm enchanted! The pale blue yarns are for baby cardigan. If it ends up smaller size, it'll be for a doll... I have to be careful...

I want to buy new knit yarns but it's too warm to go out!
Romni wools, which I usually go to buy yarns, has held a sale so I really want to go there...
So far my knitting plans are
1.ene's scarf from "scarf style"
2.prfect pie shawl from "weekend knitting"
3.herringbone gloves from this sight
4.Lottie from "Rowan junior"

I've been knitting the ribbed camisole, which I unraveled. It's simple pattern so that I'm getting bored, and I'm using bigger size of needles because last time my camisole ended up XS size, but so far the it lookes Larger than midium...I want to try new pattern so that I chose #1,#2. I don,t need worry about the size as well! About #3, I want to use Rowan yarns but it's more expensive than in Japan because of tax. Rowan spun 4ply is used for the gloves. Rowan spun 4ply isn't so expensive and I need only 2 balls so that I made up my mind to buy during the sale on Romni Wools.
#4 is for my friend who is going to have a baby in October. It's a present so I'll make a swatch seriously.

This scarf is my favorite. I made it 4 years ago. Yarn is alpaca 100%. It's really soft and warm.

I've finished my ribbed camisole. I made M size but it ended up XS size...
I made a swatch with US2 needles but it was smaller than tension from the book so that I used US3 needles. I should have made a swatch again! I can wear the XS size camisole though...it's a bit...too tight fit. Should I give it to my niece? I really like that design and I knitted tight so that she might feel coarse. I'm wavering between leaving and making over. I always make small stuff like glove, scarf. I've made a sweater before but only once! I learned a lots from this camisole. I make a note not to foreget what I learned, what I have to check.

1.My stitches are pretty good, but end of row (right side of edge with RC facing)is not good.
2.I don't know how to join seams properly.
3.I'm not sure where to pick up when I make neck band and trim etc.
4.If I try to make over, it may be better to use cicular needle??

I want to make a lovely cardigan in this fall!

ribbed camisole

I've started knitting a camisole from "Vintage knit". I like knitting now but when I was a kid, I couldn't knit. I tried again and again but I made only weird pyramid-shape something...I must have dropped stitches on every rows. Several years ago I tried knitting a scarf (with cable!), and then I made it! The scarf made me a person who loves knitting.

I'm Japanese so that English knitting book isn't familiar. I have to study English and knitting. I want to speak English fluently, this blog is good for me...I think. Anyways I'll try my best!

I had been checking some blog systems for few weeks then I've decided "blogger".
Actually I already have another blog but I don't know how to customize it (or I can't?) so that I wanted to use something else.
...I don't know anything about HTML though. hahaha.
And I got really confused about photos. It's too troublesome to use other system only for photos. But I want to add photos, so I read English explanation that causes headache!! Maybe I understand it. I'll try next time. Anyways, I'll try to keep a blog!
